Originally from the friendly city of Port Elizabeth, I moved to Pretoria after completing my MSc Computer Science studies. My research was based in the Human Computer Interaction field which today would fall within the UX domain.
I absolutely love front-end web development and was blessed to be in the industry for 10 years. I definitely don't know it all and therefore I love constantly learning.
My life is not all about front-end web development and UX though, I am a child of God, wife and mom. In my spare time I enjoy kickboxing and sewing.

Telkom (2009 - 2015)
Lead front-end developer & UX/UI designer
I designed and developed the following:
- xAct (classic ASPX pages, Javascript, own theme/css)
- APMAC (classic ASPX pages, Javascript, own theme/css)
- xSure (MVC, javascript, own theme/css)
- xPCM (Angular 1, own theme/css)
- T-Agent (classic ASPX pages, Javascript, own theme/css)

SilverBridge (2016 - 2018)
Lead front-end developer & UX/UI designer
I helped develop a policy administration system, called Lucid used in the insurance industry. Lucid is a MVC project which was written using C#, SQL server and Javascript (including some aurelia). This application communicated with a REST API which I have also sometimes modified. I helped with the build and release pipeline as we were operating in a dev ops environment. I have created Jasmine tests and some Selenium tests for this application which runs during every build/release.

I helped develop a direct quote system, called inBiz used in the insurance industry. inBiz is a MVC project which was written using C#, SQL server and Javascript. I assisted with the maintenance of a financial application for Platform 45. Summit is a SPA project which was written using Ruby on Rails (APIs), React and Redux.

I assisted with the maintenance of a health application for Platform 45. Healthforce is a MVC project which was written using Ruby on Rails and Stimulus JS.

I assisted with building a web site for Platform 45. More hotels website (https://www.more.co.za/) is a SPA project which was written using Vue JS (Nuxt.js) and integrated into Contenful.

I created a website for Welcome Dream Foundation. The website (https://www.wdfoundation.co.za/) is a SPA project which was written using React JS with the email component written in Node JS integrating with Sendgrid.
